Midtown First Floor and Kitchen Renovation

Cam and Marin had been wanting to do a major renovation in their beautiful midtown Toronto home for many years. They were tired of fixing one small thing after another, so they were all in. The plan: to open up the space and renovate the main floor kitchen, a powder room, a new stair case, expanded access to the backyard and new flooring throughout. Another priority was to implement better energy efficiency with new windows, spray foam insulation, an updated Unico cooling system and hydronic radiant floor heating on the first and second floors.

In order to accommodate a more expansive kitchen and create a brighter, more inviting gathering space, several beams had to be added. Then, to solve any storage issues, we installed a complete custom pantry, kitchen island and several dish cabinets, designed and supplied by Swede kitchens. Other notable features include Vicostone quartz countertops and a custom cladded, electric fireplace to add warmth and comfort to living room.
